Oblong Marketing
As a graphic designer on the marketing team I had the opportunity to work on a variety of marketing and branding materials for Oblong Industries. This case study highlights a few of my favorite projects and mediums/tools I got to work with.
Tradeshow Branding
I was responsible for designing a series of event collateral: initial email invites, landing pages, printouts to hand out the booth, booth signage, and large scale booth graphics. I worked closely with the art director and marketing team to come up with proper messaging. I also packaged design assets appropriately to send to print shops and worked with them to make the necessary adjustments.
Landing Pages
Originally the landing pages at Oblong were each built using html and every time we needed a new page we would duplicate an existing page and swap out the text. This made it tedious to make changes and add new elements to the page. We redesigned the pages to be templated in WordPress so more people on the team could create landing pages easily. We came up with a modularized template which could be customized for many types of events. These modules included: banner image/video, intro text, body text, video, location with map, event over views, quotes, etc. We designed the landing page templates in Sketch and worked with the development team, Code Rodeo, to turn them into functional WordPress templates.
Brochures
I designed a variety of print collateral featuring Oblong technology, customer case studies, demo locations, etc were handed out at sales offices and trade shows.
Video Production
I had the opportunity to assist with case study video shoots. I provided some set direction during shoots and feedback during final edits. I created the animated title cards, lower thirds, and name and title animations in After Effects for most of the videos produced during my time there.
